Concept Polaroid Design Looks Better Than The Relaunched Model

So far, I’ve not been too impressed by the design of the reissued Polaroid cameras. Perhaps they can work alongside designer Evan Jardee, who cooked up this glossy flip concept which looks more like a phone than an instant camera?

I’ve got a couple of issues with it though. Firstly—it’s unable to print photos without docking in a printer (albeit an equally-stylish printer), and secondly it contains a flexible OLED screen for displaying photos on. Part of the charm of Polaroids is not really knowing what you’re going to get when it prints out seconds after shooting, but with 10GB of imaginary memory, it becomes more of a concept camera than a concept Polaroid.

Nonetheless, it’s a beautiful concept—I’ll give the designer that. [Yanko Design]
