We're hearing a morsel of a rumor that has the Creative Zen V Plus flash-based music player catching up with the latest iPod nano, bumping up to 8GB of capacity. If it's able to do that, it will be only the third flash player to hit that 8-gigabyte mark, taking its place among the nano and the SanDisk Sasa e280. Now if Creative can just make the Zen as thin as the nano and somehow top its user interface, it might actually be competitive.
