CTIA: Content is King

So Day One of CTIA is almost over, and the major vibe I’m getting is a huge focus on mobile content. We’re talking streaming videos, gaming, mobile television, web browsing, etc. After a few talks with people, the general consensus is that a lot of this is prompted by the recent EDGE and EV-DO push for wireless broadband, which makes it easier for high-bandwidth content to be delivered to customers. Several examples of companies that are pushing this: Amp’d, MobileTV, MediaFLO, Virgin Mobile, just to name a few.
