Wondering who the Atom, Hawkgirl, Firestorm, White Canary and the others would battle when DC’s Legends of Tomorrow? It’s Vandal Savage, the brilliant, immortal caveman-turned warlord who spends all of human history trying to take over the world. And the show just found the perfect dude to play him.
Now, Entertainment Weekly assembled the comparison picture up top, but I had to use it because holy crap. The guy on the left is Caspar Crump, who sounds like a minor Harry Potter character but is in fact a Danish actor of some renown. Honestly, he’s been in no U.S. productions, so I have no way to judge his ability to play the supervillain, but he looks like he could have masqueraded as Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Vlad the Impaler, Jack the Ripper, and other historical warlords/lunatics Vandal Savage has actually been. So I’m pretty willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here.
