Outpost has this DVD recorder for a mere $50. It can playback from DVD+R/+RW/-R/-RW, VCD, SVCD, CD, MP3 and JPEG. And it can record to DVD+R/RW. This could be a nice pickup for those out there who haven't taken the plunge into DVR with a TiVo or the like but are still interested in recording programming in something other than VHS.
