I hadn’t realized before just how much design work can go into building an external hard drive. Granted, these are $480 drives, so definitely a step or two above the Western Digital littering your desk.
Everything from the top cover to the bottom cover can be customized by purchasers, with the grilles and threads as well. One thing that the drives have in common is that they all display the spinning platter inside. Pretty neat stuff, but would you pay $480 for 1TB of storage? It’s not like we live in 2005 anymore.
