Russia is not America’s pal. Politically, there are disputes over NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden’s temporary asylum in Moscow and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s autocratic government. But the issue that’s really souring U.S.-Russian relations is the same issue that’s still dividing America: gay rights.
