Yesterday, it was Gabriel Macht, today, it’s Samuel Jackson trying to convince us that Frank Miller’s The Spirit movie is really some kind of wacky comedy instead of Sin City 2. Talking to MTV, Jackson said that the movie is “sort of Wile E. Coyote with real people. We hit each other with big things [and] we’re both kind of indestructible, so it’s funny in that way. We get shot up, we get stabbed up, we just don’t die.” He also tried to clarify the difference between The Dark Knight and The Spirit: “[‘The Spirit’] is a comic book. You can call ‘The Dark Knight’ a comic book, but no, it’s a graphic novel.
