Finally, February 6 is the date for the much-awaited movie about the Star Wars fanboys who break into Skywalker Ranch to torture George Lucas for doing the prequels. OK, it's not about that. I wish.

Fanboys will open in the following cities:

• Austin TX
• Houston, TX
• Chicago, IL
• Los Angeles, CA
• New York, NY
• Philadelphia, PA
• San Francisco, CA
• Seattle, WA

Set in 1998, the story tells of a group of friends who, anxious for the premiere of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace - and because one of them is suffering from cancer and wishes to see the film before his death - decide to break into Skywalker Ranch and steal an early print of the film. A road trip begins as the friends encounter William Shatner, obsessed Trekkies, and bikers who make them undress for water.

I am really looking forward to this movie, as I certainly have some geek in me, and hope to see some of my stranger quirks played out on screen. It is just to bad that Phantom Menace turned out to be such a dog, and undeserving of the ardent fanboyism that will likely be displayed in this movie.

Jesus, I love your posts, but the (pun intended) addition to the title made me think of Maddox's opinion on the subject. [www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net]
