2013 is already looking like a year of incredible scientific breakthroughs, especially if you ignore the fact that this video was originally posted way back in February 2012. In it, steampunk artist Thomas Willeford, author of Steampunk Gear, Gadgets, and Gizmos: A Maker’s Guide to Creating Modern Artifacts, has created what is likely the first-ever arm-mounted, Bluetooth typewriter-to-iPhone contraption, shown above. It’s as awesome as it is impractical, and it’s not even slightly practical. Still, keep me posted when someone finally gets around to inventing the wrist-mounted fax machine.
