The first trailer for the Guillermo del Toro-penned-and-produced horror flick Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark has hit the web. It’s like The Borrowers on crystal meth! Take a good long look at the pint-sized creatures who’re watching you sleep.

Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (not to be confused with Are You Afraid of the Dark?) is directed by Troy Nixey, produced by del Toro, and co-written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins. The film stars Guy Pearce and Katie Holmes as an unlucky couple whose new house is filled with scampering nasties. The film comes out January 21, 2011. Take a gander…
