The first preview for The CW’s Tomorrow People is here, so let’s break it down: A bunch of young, attractive people discover they have super-powers and are the next step in humanity’s evolution but are hunted by a mysterious government agent played by a vastly overqualified actor? Yeah, I’d say my math is right.

Honestly, after the delight that was Arrow, being on the The CW is no proof of lack of quality (as we’ve previously discussed). Likening the new show to Heroes is a bit of a low blow, but I only mean it in terms of the government agent as the antagonist, because it appears these characters band together early to do… whatever it is they’re going to do, as opposed to refuse to stick together and randomly time travel to ancient Japan and such. And besides the whole humans vs. mutants and team of superheroes things, the abundance of black leather just screams X-Men in every frame.

None of this is a bad thing, frankly. And while the show may end up being terrible, I’m more than willing to give it the benefit of the doubt for now. What do you guys think?
