First review we’ve seen of Samsung’s new YP-910GS 20GB hard drive MP3 player, the one that’s designed to be used with the new Napster 2.0 music download service, though obviously using Napster with it is optional. The YP-910GS has a few built-in features that the iPod lacks, like a line-in jack for making recordings, an FM transmitter for listening to the player on any nearby radio, and an FM tuner with an encoder that can make MP3s directly off of the radio. Apparently the battery life of the Samsung is better than than of the iPod by a couple of hours, but that the navigation software and interfacing with the Napster 2.0 service isn’t quite as seamless as promised.
