Master Chief better watch his back — he's not the only soldier in the Halo universe kicking terrifying ancient alien ass, as this first trailer for the Ridley Scott-produced Halo: Nightfall movie shows.
Here's the official plot summary:
Halo: Nightfall introduces a pivotal new character, Jameson Locke, a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth's most powerful and secretive military branch. When he and his team are caught in a horrific biological attack, they unravel a plot that draws them to an ancient, hellish artifact, where they will be forced to fight for their survival, question everything, and ultimately choose between their loyalties and their lives.
Played by The Good Wife's Mike Colter, Locke will be a playable character in the upcoming game Halo 5: Guardians, so it's probably safe to assume he survives the movie. But Nightfall's production values still look pretty darned good, Colter's a pretty damned fine actor, and definitely it feels like Halo, so Halo fans and scifi fans alike should definitely check it out when its released on Xbox on November 11th.
