A brand new promo for True Blood season four has been released. So does it show Bill’s solo misery, or the beginning of a human-vampire war?

Nope. Instead we get vampire and werewolf slo-mo glamor shots. Imagine our disappointment when the first ever extended True Blood promo is just a collection of moving profiles with an excessive amount of Tara time (what happened to her super-important-haircut-for-metaphor-reasons? Oh well this haircut looks nice too we guess). This makes us a wee bit nervous for the violent plot that the King of Mississippi set up last year by publicly murdering a human news anchor on TV. Fingers crossed they show the beginnings of this drama, because if the new season is all long sultry looks into the camera, we’re going to bust some heads.

Also released this week, the fist synopsis for the season premiere:

Sheʼs Not There:

Sookie journeys away from Bon Temps; Eric and Bill try to win back the human public; Jason learns that no good deed goes unpunished; Tara finds refuge in close quarters; Sam bonds with his own; Hoyt and Jessica debate the dinner menu; Jesus urges Lafayette to join a coven; Terry tries to alleviate Arleneʼs fears about the baby. (Written by Alexander Woo; directed by Michael Lehmann.)

The fourth season of True Blood will air on June 26th.
