Before high-tech engineering upped the ante on amusement park rides, coaster enthusiasts got their thrills riding wooden behemoths that felt like they were going to shake themselves apart. And now you can enjoy those same thrills from the comfort of your office chair.
Even at 1:48-scale this homage to classic coasters from the 1920s will still take up most of your desk, but who needs phones or a laptop when you’ve got this to play with all day long? And if you happen to end up ‘working’ late into the night, the LEDs in the coaster’s safety rails should provide ample illumination.
The building-toy challenged don’t have to worry about putting this thrill ride together, either. It’s handmade from 464 pieces of laser-cut birch painted red and white, and comes fully assembled.
