We were all excited to hear that Leonard Nimoy was joining the cast of Fringe as William Bell, the mysterious tech millionaire with ties to Walter Bishop. Until we found out that the producers agreed to scale back William Bell’s story arc to accomodate Nimoy, who doesn’t want a big commitment. Apparently, he’ll appear in one scene in the season finale, and then a few episodes next year. But his story will be curtailed from what the producers originally planned. [EW]
