The new Godzilla film, Shin Godzilla, is just a week away from release in Japan—and now it’s on its way to America, too. As revealed at the Comic-Con panel,
Revealed at Funimation’s will distribute the film—which will be known as Godzilla Resurgence in the West—in North and South America as well as the Caribbean, covering rights from TV broadcast to on-demand streaming. But beyond that, the company also confirmed that Resurgence will also be getting a theatrical release in the U.S., starting later this year.
We don’t know how limited the run will be just yet, or if the film will be dubbed or simply subtitled, but at least we now know that Japan’s freaky new Godzilla will definitely be stomping his way to our shores.
