The Little Prince
Variety reports a live-action film adaptation of The Little Prince is now in development from director Morten Tyldum (Headhunters, The Imitation Game), screenwriter Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) and producer Aton Soumache (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir). According to the outlet, “[Antoine de] Saint-Exupéry’s story will unfold in live action, while the Little Prince will be created using visual effects.”
Compound 9
Variety reports Daniel Webber, Dermot Mulroney, and Katheryn Winnick are attached to star in Compound 9, a “psychological horror-thriller” inspired by William Peter Blatty’s The Ninth Configuration from director Rodrigo H. Vila. Set “in the aftermath of the Vietnam War,” the story follows” a group of Marine veterans suffering from severe psychological trauma who are confined inside a remote government facility. Webber stars as military psychiatrist Dr. Mark Connors, who arrives to evaluate the patients, only for his investigation to draw him into an increasingly disturbing experiment that blurs the boundaries between trauma and madness. Mulroney plays Col. Dr. Morton Phillips, the austere psychiatrist who runs Compound 9 and its experimental treatment program, while Winnick stars as Riley, a guarded nurse with a troubled past and a complicated connection to the compound.”
Scapegoat
According to a new report from World of Reel, Ari Aster’s mysterious new project Scapegoat is currently casting actors to play a “Histologist,” a “Forensic technician in autopsy room,” “Medical nurse & doctor types,” “Anti-ICE protestors,” “Victims of ICE arrest,” “ICE agents,” and “Hispanic kids age 6-13 OK to portray victims arrested by ICE agents.” Until further information is given, the project appears to be closer in tone to Eddington than Hereditary.
Man of Tomorrow/DCU
During a recent interview with Comic Book, actor Sean Gunn described his brother’s Man of Tomorrow as his “favorite of all” DCU projects.
It weighs everything on it. Because I can tell you: I can’t say anything about Man of Tomorrow in terms of what it’s about or who’s in it, or whatever. But I think it’s okay that I can say that I’ve read it, and it’s my favorite of all of them. So I’ll be very curious to come back a year from now and talk to people about what they like the best.
Later in the same interview, Gunn confirmed he’s been “continuing to play Maxwell Lord” in several future DCU projects and believes “those pieces are starting to come together” in an “incredibly exciting” fashion.
“I’m really happy. I’ve also been continuing to play Maxwell Lord—I can’t say in what, but I have a couple more projects that I’ve been able to play Maxwell Lord in. And I’m having great fun doing that, and I’m incredibly excited about what DC is doing. And I think the way that those pieces are starting to come together is incredibly exciting.”

Silt
A lake beside a private resort carries the “genes of the Gods” in the trailer for Silt, starring Malcolm Goodwin (Reacher), David Anders (The Vampire Diaries), Olivia Grace Applegate (Love and Death), Andrea Sixtos (Arrow), and Tommy Wiseau (The Room).
Futurama
During a recent interview with Comic Book, Futurama‘s David X. Cohen revealed the first of the three upcoming specials (which will run an estimated 66 minutes long) is “a big holiday epic movie for holidays of 2027, and it involves a big Bender romance with a snowman. You’ll believe it when you see it.” The episode will also explore “Fry’s childhood hopes and dreams for X-Mas, and will also feature an official goodbye to Kwanzaa Bot following Coolio’s passing.”
Cohen additionally revealed the third special will finally reveal the identity of “the Other”, a lingering question since 2003.
“It kind of started as a joke…[B]ut if you’re excited about that, get ready for the third and final of the three specials that we’re now working on because that is going to really embrace that. So we’re not done with that.”
