DucttapeNinja based this particular design on Gimli’s helm from Lord of the Rings, but notes that it can be adapted for any sort of fantastical head gear. Just get out the craft foam and start carving.
But if you’re planning on wearing a Dwarven drinking helm to The Hobbit premiere and filling it with soda, remember to time your bathroom breaks; the first film is apparently weighing in at two hours and 40 minutes.
