Google Maps To Get Even More AR Content
Google launched a Geospatial Creator dev suite during last year’s I/O, and now the company is sharing how Google Maps users will be able to see a bunch more AR content directly in Google Maps. This “Geospatial AR” content will show up in both Street View and with the existing Lens in Maps when they search for specific locales or landmarks. An “AR Experience” button should take users to an AR experience in Street View. Google said it’s working to show some of these features in Singapore in partnership with the country’s tourism department.
