Many people have taken a dim view of Google’s participation in the Republican National Convention this coming July. But the company has told Poltico that it will still be involved with the event.

Yesterday, anti-Trump activists descended on Google’s headquarters in Mountain View to protest its involvement with the Republican party. But Google has explained that it will still provide a number of services at the convention later this year, including the official live stream, videos, and virtual reality offerings.

Google offered similar services at both the Democratic and Republican conventions of 2012. It’s currently unclear what the financial arrangements are between Google and the Republican party, though many protestors have been calling the activities “sponsorship.” Google has “declined to say” to Politico if it is donating money or services to the convention alongside the live stream provision.
