The most notable thing about the upcoming horror movie The Darkness is that it stars David Mazouz, best known as the Batman-to-be in the TV show Gotham. The second most notable thing about The Darkness is that it appears to be heavily based on an episode of The Brady Bunch.
Fellow old people: Do you remember when the Bradys went on that Hawaiian vacation and youngest son Bobby found a tiki doll that curses the family to bad luck? Well, The Darkness appears to be much the same thing, except replace “tiki doll” with “Native American stones” and “bad luck curse” with “a ghost who needs to wash his hands.”
The Darkness opens May 13. However, Gotham is so insane it’s entirely possible that Bruce Wayne will also be possessed by a dirt spirit of some kind this season, so just keep that in mind.
