Behold the wrath of a nerd herd. Last night’s Grey’s Anatomy showcased our greatest fear: a Comic Con stampede. It was bloody, and one poor fan lost his ear. (This show has touched on science fiction fandom before, with a truly excellent Star Wars pep talk)

Of course the convention attendees were not the center of the story, but there was a great little moment featuring a Hobbit standing up to a giant (granted, he got totally pounded — but it’s still sweet). There was no real message being used with the victims. It seems Grey’s was intent on reminding us that at any moment we all could be trampled to death at Comic Con. As if we could ever forget.
