Able to de-bone a ham at twice the speed of a human (that's 500 hams an hour!), Mayekawa's HAMDAS-R robot is a chilling look at how many of us will meet our match when robots take over the world.
While robots will put people out of work, they will also lower food prices because fewer workers are needed so there is some trade-off there. It's not like suddenly everyone in food processing will be fired and starve to death. It'll take twice as long to starve because prices will drop. Yay!
Also, what gives? I see no NSFW jokes about boning hams here. I'm surprised and a little disappointed.
