Prime Video is checking out of Hazbin Hotel in the near future.

On Saturday at Las Vegas’ LVL Up Expo, it was revealed the animated musical series would wrap after five seasons. If you feel like you’re missing something, don’t worry: season two only recently in late 2025. In a statement, creator Vivienne Madrano thanked Prime Video for “championing our vision at SpindleHorse, and I’m grateful for their partnership and commitment to bringing Hazbin Hotel to its epic conclusion. I’m so excited for fans to see how this story ends.”

Hazbin Hotel first began in 2019 as a YouTube pilot, becoming popular enough that Spindlehorse teamed with Prime Video for a full series. The show’s been well-regarded and gotten big enough that it got sing-along screenings in the lead up to season two. Spindlehorse has also expanded with the Helluva Boss spinoff, and in 2025, a first-look deal was struck to give Prime Video a brief exclusivity on full Boss seasons. Under that same deal, Medrano’s developing new projects for the streamer, which Hotel’s end presumably clears the way for.

At the LVL Up panel, Prime Video announced Hazbin Hotel would return with season three later this year. The first half of its 15-episode run will arrive in the fall, then, after a holiday hiatus, return in 2027.
