Hulu scooped up Stephen King’s time travel novel 11/22/63 a while back, with James Franco set to star as the lead. Now, the streaming video company has released the first images, synopsis and release date for the show.

11.22.63 will be released weekly starting on President’s Day, February 15th, 2016, and will follow weekly from there. The 9-hour event series adapts Stephen King’s novel by the same name. (The novel is titled 11/22/63, while the show has been styled as 11.22.63)

Here’s the plot blurb:

Hulu Original series 11.22.63 is a thriller in which high school history teacher Jake Epping (James Franco) travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy – but his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed. Also starring Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay and Daniel Webber.

The company has released several other images, which shows off James Franco in the period series:

Hulu has been creating its own content for a little while now, but this show looks like it’s being created to allow the company to compete with the likes of Netflix and Amazon, each of which have been creating their own, high-quality shows.
