A Doctor World merges the darkly poetic style of the photo webcomic A Softer World with screencaps and notions from Doctor Who, offering sometimes thoughtful, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny comics starring the Doctor and his pals.
A Softer World juxtaposes beautiful photographs with strange and often unsettling text (from a recent installment: “I hate insects. Always laying eggs in my head. Never calling me back.”). The comics aren’t literal haikus, but a concise three-panel poetic form. And that form is aped in A Doctor World, a blog of Doctor Who-inspired comics curated by two BBC-loving students.
