X-Men: Apocalypse/Quicksilver Solo Film

The second unit director on Days of Future Past, Brian Smrz, says he's about to go to work on Apocalypse, giving a tiny hint about what we're going to see:

They want me to start pretty soon, on the storyboarding and stuff. I'll be working on the next X-Men for the next month or so part-time, and by the end of the year it'll be full-time.

... [T]here will be another Quicksilver scene, which I'm looking forward to; that'll be fun.

This is more confirmation of something we've heard before. He added that he's been talking about directing his own movies — and one option is a solo Quicksilver movie, which, if the TV show rumors are true, will make Evan Peters a very busy man:

We talked about Quicksilver before, I'd love to do a Quicksilver as a solo film because there's a lot to enjoy with that character. But I'm not geared just towards superhero movies; for me it's about great main characters, and finding movies that have that.

Star Wars

One of the many, many rumors about this film claims that in a little nod to Episode IV, Han Solo will once again don Stormtrooper armor as a disguise in Episode VII. [The via Cinemablend]

And, as usual, the rumors based on concept art that someone has seen:

A very green mixed deciduous forest paints the background. This location is in the thick of it, that's for sure. There is a large hole in the ground. The hole is in the shape of a hexagon. The hole is for a metallic structure of some kind, very Imperial looking, indicating an underground Imperial base. Each line of the hexagon has a pillar sticking out of it about the size of a man. These could be to give troops exiting the underground facility some cover to fight off attackers, if the pillars serve any function at all. Each line of the hexagon inside has two lights, which illuminate the under apoares about that?

Emerging from the "Imperial hole in the ground" are none other than Han Solo and the mighty Chewbacca! Han Solo wears his classic black vest and pants. His gun is raised in the air, ready to shoot first if need be! Chewbacca stands to his left, he appears to hold a big riffle type blaster, no robotic hand, and his classic bandolier over his shoulder. We can see the two heroes from an angle behind the pillars they are using for cover as they look towards the camera for any foes to attack.

[Making Star Wars]

And from the usual anonymous sources, although it's more believable than most, is the rumor that, in terms of practical effects over CGI, there will be "full-size animatronic aliens and possibly droids." The animatronics are apparently controlled by motion capture and could be related to this Disney research project. If this is true, it might shed light onto what kind of motion capture Andy Serkiss is doing on the film. [Star Wars Underground]

Avengers: Age of Ultron

James Spader talked to Total Film about why he was drawn to playing Ultron in the Avengers sequel:

There's a humerous [sic] aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss [Whedon]. In many ways he's a child, this character, because he's a brand new being who's just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he's a very powerful, smart child."

[Total Film]

And in the trailer, there's a shot of the team in the tower, including a woman that didn't look like anyone we've seen before. Newsarama pulled out their magnifying glass and decided that it's probably actress Kim Soo-hyun, who has been confirmed in a supporting role in a couple of reports, even if Marvel's refused to talk much about her role.

There are conflicting reports on this, with sources in Korean saying she's a doctor helping Tony Stark, and not a villain. But that same report says Ultron is the only villain, even though Baron von Strucker's in the film. Other reports have her as a supporting villain, either working with Ultron or von Stucker. And we have to point out that one report says her part would be shot in Korea, which means it may not even be her in the trailer. [Newsarama]

Looks like Adam McKay really enjoyed his short time working on Ant-Man and is more than willing to come on board for another project:

I just did a big rewrite on Ant-Man with Paul Rudd and had such a great time working with them that we're kicking around ideas. But yeah, maybe I would take on one of the characters so we haven't locked in anything, but discussions are definitely going on.

The Mummy

Alex Kurtzman's script for the reboot of the Universal monster movie is supposedly in the hands of Superhero Movies News. And here's their description of the opening sequence:

The story follows Navy Seal Tyler Colt and his mission in the Iraqi desert to find a group of terrorists hiding out in a bunker. To him and his teams surprise the terrorists within the bunker turn out be nothing more then some grave robbers who have all magically died. Upon entering the bunker Tyler and his team also succumb to some mystical forces out of their control. They soon realize the bunker they have infiltrated is actually a centuries old tomb. Mayhem erupts as all the Navy seal members start turning on one another and are captivated by the forces within the tomb. Tyler is the only one to make it all the way deep within the tomb alive to find an Black Iron Sarcophagus. It's marked with Egyptian symbols like the Ankh and Eye of Horus. Here Tyler is entranced by the forces to open up and release what is inside. But after placing his hand onto the sarcophagus he is immediately stabbed in the palm with a star shaped symbol. From then on his mind is cursed with visions of Ashurbanipal, King of Assyria.....The Mummy.

The Martian

Ridley Scott's film about an astronaut trying to survive on Mars until he is rescued might have one of the best casts put together in recent years: Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Donald Glover, Michael Pena and Jeff Daniels. And joining that group are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sebastian Stan, and Mackenzie Davis. No news on who the new additions are playing, but, my god, that's a lot of star power. [Entertainment Weekly]

Joining the cast is Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones). She'll play Harriet, a leader of a group from a different maze. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Once Upon a Time

Apparently, adding Frozen to the mix has done this show well: ABC has ordered an extra episode for the season, bringing the season order to 23 episodes. [Deadline]

Lana Parilla gave some details on this Sunday's episode, which sees Emma and Regina team up for the first time in a while:

Their journey is quite comedic — Regina just does not let her off that easy. It's one snarky remark after another.

What's so beautiful about Regina and Emma, especially at the end of this episode, is that Emma comes clean and says, 'I don't really have anybody else who understands this magic inside of me. You're the only one I can relate to. And I need you.' And I think that's very touching for Regina to hear.

Apparently the Bewitched reboot has landed at NBC, after a bidding war with ABC. And here's a description, which, oy:

[It follows] Daphne — Samantha's granddaughter and Tabitha's daughter — a single twentysomething witch who has always used her magical powers to conjure herself the perfect life. But she soon realizes that the one thing she cannot conjure and control is the one thing she wants most — real love.

Doctor Who

Here are some teasers for the next episode, "In the Forest of the Night":

"I don't wanna see more things. I wanna see the things that are in front of me more clearly"

The 100

Eliza Taylor says that Clarke will eventually escape and be reunited with some of the others, saying that some reunions will be good and some "not so good." And here's some information on the next episode:

Confused about that ending? Don't worry, the mysterious baby cry Jaha heard aboard the Ark in the premiere's final moments will be explained in Episode 2. It'll also propel the former Chancellor into the next phase of his journey, which gets even more mind-blogging… if that's at all possible.

David Giuntoli says that Juliette will eventually understand that Nick can't stay home and that he's not going to leave:

This is my house, this is my country. I will not move. I shall not move. I'll tell you what we do move: We move the trailer. We hide the trailer, in one of the first episodes, into an unincorporated part of Portland. No one knows where it is. You can't even get there by road. We finally smarten up and move it out there. But no, Nick and Juliette, we're still fine in our little house. Our neighbors hate us.

He added that Wu's knowledge or lack thereof will become a major issue. [TV Line]

And here are teasers for the premiere:

- Someone is investigate on Renard's shooting, but it's not Nick and Hank.

- Of course, even in this premiere there's a murder case to investigate on. There's a new threat in town who steals the memories of his victims.

- I don't know if it's just me but the new threat is a reference in this episode to another old NBC's show.

- Someone says: "I'm just really sorry that all those things happened in your wedding day."

- Trubel is always the sassy and tough ones and you'll see how she can handle an interrogation.

- Wu and Hank have an interesting conversation.

- After what happened with Adalind, as you may imagine, things between Nick and Juliette are a bit awkward. But nothing is lost.

- Nick is handling quite well not being a Grimm anymore.

- Guess where's Adalind right now.

- Renard's future won't be shown till the episode ends.

So, if Adam McKay does more work for Marvel Studios, who is Will Ferrell going to be?

Edit: I'm semi-serious/semi-joking with this comment. But, now as I think about it who would Ferrell be best suited for in the MCU?
