This new iPad owner is either a pitiable fool or a brilliant troll. Apparently he's been "trying for the past few hours" and is on the verge of giving up. Readers, do you have any advice for him? [Apple Support via TheNextWeb]
Getting a CD to work on your iPad 2 is a very simple process, really!
The first thing you have to realize is that a CD will not work directly. You have to create something called a "disc image" in order to make that happen. This is a special file that resembles all the data stored on a CD, DVD, LP record, phonograph cylinder, floppy diskette, or whatever other removable medium you may be using with your non-removable-medium-equipped iPad.
To create a disc image, lay the disc data-side-up on your desk. Then, open your camera app on your iPad 2. Point the camera precisely at the disc and snap a photo of it.
There. You've just created a disc image. Now just how you'll access the data on the disc, who knows. But you have a disc image, nontheless.
I think the rest of the instructions are listed maybe in the iPad's user's guide, though.
