How to Build an Adorable Baby Groot Puppet That Hangs Out on Your Shoulder

Already one of the more popular characters from the original Guardians of the Galaxy movie, the sequel introduces a baby version of Groot so cute he might as well have been engineered in a lab as the perfect toy-selling tool. So why not build your own, like Caleb Kraft did, who now has a tiny animated baby Groot puppet perched on his shoulder while he works?

If you know how to use a drill and a hot glue gun, assembling the baby Groot puppet doesn’t appear to be terribly difficult. In fact, the hardest part might be waiting for the 3D-printed character to be complete. Caleb also has some useful tips in his making-of video on how to paint your plastic Groot to make it appear more wooden—which in this case actually makes it seem more lifelike.
