Over on imgur, somevelvetmorning has put together a great little gallery cataloguing the creation of the wicked Dalek dress featured here (there’s even a helmet!).
By far the best part about this little DIY project are the iconic hemispheres lining the dress’ “panels” — according to somevelvetmorning, they’re actually made from the little plastic balls that you find in jumping pits. Whether she actually resorted to thievery or not, there’s just something fantastic about the idea of stealing balls from a play pit in order to craft a dress in the style of a malevolent Dalek.
