How To Turn Your iPhone Into A Microscope For Only $10

These odd images were all taken using an iPhone cleverly equipped with a 45x microscope. The best part though? You can add such an upgrade to your own iPhone for about $10.

The video above claims that the iPhone microscope modification costs only five dollars, but we’ve found that the microscope used—an SE Mini 45X—will run you about seven dollars on average and that the case you’ll attach it to will be another three bucks.

That aside though, the project is pretty simple. All you’re doing is attaching the microscope’s viewfinder to your case and securing that to your iPhone. It’s that easy and you can create images like the ones in the video or here:
