Last year, Tyler Anderson designed a concept van modeled on the Appa, a giant flying bison from animated series Avatar (The Last Airbender). Now some fans are using his design to convert their Astro van into mobile art.
Over on Facebook, a group of Avatar fans are documenting a “1985 Chevy Astro that is being slowly converted into everyone’s favorite Flying Bison.” So far they’ve just started sanding, so you’ll have front-row seats for this fannish conversion process. Will they have their Appa before The Last Airbender movie opens next month? We’ll be watching their progress!
