Batman v. Superman

Ben Affleck actually talked about taking the part with Entertainment Weekly, first talking about the role:

I'm right in the middle of shooting now. It's a process that I'll probably have better perspective on when I'm done. I can tell you that every time I do a role, it's the responsibility of an actor to get their physical self as close to the role as possible. And Batman's obviously got a set of expectations that are tough. So I spent a lot of time working out. And it's a far cry from Gone Girl where my character is described as "puffy and hungover." I want you to know I worked equally hard at both! [laughs]

He also talked about the reaction to his casting, and giving a very measured response to it:

Before I took the role, Warner Bros. gave me a bunch of past reactions to casting and said, "Are you sure you want to get into this? This is part and parcel of these movies now. There's a lot of active fans with a lot of opinions." To me, having been through a certain amount of that, it doesn't really… Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I wouldn't have taken the part if I didn't trust my instincts in terms of the filmmaking. I think Chris Terrio wrote a terrific script. Zack's a great visual director. And there's an interesting take. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think I could do it. I have the benefit of a lot of that understanding. But also, everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's a big part of this international sport. The Fifty Shades of Grey kid or whatever it is. That's sort of become a thing.

Fans feel like their vote counts.

You know what? It's great that people do care that much. They want to see the movie that much. And it is incumbent on you to honor the story. There are the Greek myths and these are the American myths. The American myths are these superheroes. People care about 'em a lot. And it's incumbent on you to do a good job and make it as excellent as you possibly can. At the end of the day, the movie's all that matters.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

It looks like the revised origin story for the turtles is a way for the writers to tap into Dimension X and alien wars. Director Jonathan Liebesman and producers Bradley Fuller and Andrew Form said so to Screen Rant. When asked if they'd go "big and sci-fi," they answered:

Jonathan Liebesman: Dimension X?

Jonathan Liebesman: F*ck yes.

Brad Fuller: I think what we need to do is we need to see how the movie does.

Jonathan Liebesman: I'm assuming your question comes from…

if there's an opportunity for another one.

Jonathan Liebesman: I would love to. I mean it's not up to me. It's up to all of us to decide.

Brad Fuller: But we've talked about those worlds already.

Andrew Form: There are scripts that have been written for this [the first] movie that integrated those worlds into it already…

Jonathan Liebesman: They were just too…it made the movie a bit too unfocused for this particular story.'

Captain America 3

Screenwriter Christopher Markus, who worked on both Captain America films, had this to say about whether the movies would eventually follow the comics' lead and make Sam Wilson the new Captain America:

It's such early days for our Sam, I wouldn't want to speculate. I sort of sit on the sidelines and watch the comics and see what comes up so I know what I'll be stealing in three years, y'know? But it's not quite as hand-in-glove as that. I will say that I love [Anthony] Mackie. If they wanted to go that way [being the new Captain America], he could do it.

Sinister 2

Shannyn Sossamon (Rules of Attraction) will star in the sequel, and the description given both gives some story details and confirms a returning character:

In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of Wayward Pines) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death. James Ransone, who portrayed the concerned sheriff's deputy in Sinister, will be reprising his character in Sinister 2.

The script comes from Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, with Ciaran Foy taking over directing duties from Derrickson. [JoBlo via Sci Fi Now]

Sin City: A Dame to Kill

Jessica Alba talked about how her character, Nancy Callahan, has changed since the first film:

"The love of her life is gone," she said. "She's devastated. She's an alcoholic. She's still dancing. She's not happy about it."

Expanding on that is Frank Miller, who said:

The movie's final story, titled "Nancy's Last Dance," follows Nancy's descent into alcoholism in the wake of Hartigan's death, as the urge for vengeance overwhelms her. "She had been the abused victim, she'd been through the wringer, and she had ended up as many women in her situation, do which is an exotic dancer," explained Miller. "And this time, she turns into something else."

Alba also talked about how her own growth's affected her performance:

"I was so young, and I wasn't really comfortable in my own skin," she revealed. "Being on a stage and dancing, it was all kind of terrifying to me. I didn't want to be make a misstep. I knew how incredible this world was, and I just didn't want to disappoint them — or myself."

"In this one, I felt just more confident," she explained. "I feel like if I'm going to be blessed with this career and be able to do movies, I might as well go 150 percent and really push it and be fearless, so that's kind of the attitude that I took… It was cool to be able to take someone from this sweet, innocent, naïve victim to this very powerful warrior who takes her life in her own hands and gets revenge."

In a Q&A, Stephen Amell said, "Suit upgrade is coming. There is going to be new stuff added to the suit at some point this season." It's interesting that he says "at some point in the season." Could that mean that the changes will be in response to a specific threat? [Comic]

Lyla actor Audrey Marie Anderson talks about the Suicide Squad:

It's a fascinating dynamic. The Suicide Squad is a weapon, and Lyla is trained in using this weapon. But I think she also sees the humanity in each individual, so again, it's a complicated, grey area. I think Lyla can see the value in the weapon, but I don't think she always agrees with the way in which Waller employs it.

She also said she can't really say anything about Lyla's pregnancy:

At the end of season 2 we learn about Lyla's pregnancy. Can you talk a little bit about what impact the pregnancy is gonna have on her, her relationship to John and her work?

I'm not sure yet. I'm just as curious as you.

The Storybrooke residents do not know what Elsa has in store for them. Back in the past, in Elsa's kingdom of Arendelle, we will discover what happened to her, her sister Anna and Kristoff, and how and why Elsa became a prisoner of Rumplestiltskin. And now that Emma has brought back Robin Hood's wife, Marian, and possibly sparked the end of Regina's relationship with him, will she return to her old, evil ways and do everything in her power to get even? And newlyweds Belle and Rumplestiltskin continue to be deeply in love with each other. But Rumple is hiding a secret from Belle — one that, if found out, could destroy their happiness - he continues to be the master of the dagger that calls upon him to be the Dark One. Can Emma and Hook commit to one another, and can these two damaged people take their love to the next level? Mary Margaret and David have a new baby, Prince Neal, and are looking forward to raising him into a proud, brave and loving adult. But they are still sad that they were not able to do this with Emma, instead helping her escape the curse when she was first born and not meeting her again until she was 28 years old. Henry is very happy to have both of his mothers back in Storybrooke. But with biological mom Emma and paternal grandfather Rumplestiltskin's blood running through his veins, he will be tested by both the light and the darkness. Finally, Will Scarlet (Michael Socha, "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland"), a former member of Robin Hood's band of Merry Men, has traveled across many lands to make his way to Storybrooke. He finds himself intertwined in the goings-on in town for the first time as his mysterious past pushes him to an unknown future.

As the season continues, new fairy tale characters will be revealed and old acquaintances will be revisited. But not everyone can be trusted.
