The perfect addition to your tech stack for everyday use and beyond

A 15.6-inch laptop is the size most people picture when they picture a laptop. The screen has room for two documents side by side, the keyboard fits a full number pad without cramping anything else, and the whole machine still closes and goes into a bag at 3.64 pounds. Anti-glare coating on the display cuts reflections from overhead lights and windows, which does more for readability on a panel like this than raw brightness would.

16GB of RAM is more than most laptops at this size and price carry. Most laptops at this size and price carry less than 16GB of RAM. That amount is what lets a computer keep a lot of programs open at once, like a browser with many tabs, a video call, and a spreadsheet, without the machine slowing down. The 256GB PCIe solid-state drive houses Windows and all your applications, and it boots up almost immediately. There is also plenty of space on this drive for a few years’ worth of files and photographs. Anything larger is better off on an external drive or in cloud storage.

Wi-Fi 6 connects you to your network wirelessly, and the RJ-45 Ethernet port on the side of the laptop is there if you need a cable instead, either because the signal is poor or because your Wi-Fi is crowded with other devices. The USB-C, two USB-A ports, and HDMI connections are close together, so you can have an external monitor, a mouse, and a flash drive plugged in at the same time without needing a hub in between. There is also a headphone and microphone combination jack.

Windows 11 is preinstalled, and the keyboard has a dedicated Copilot key that opens Microsoft’s AI assistant with one press. Office 365 for the web is included, so Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are available in a browser rather than as installed applications.

At $415, down from $799, this is a 15.6-inch Full HD laptop with 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a wired Ethernet port. Battery life is rated at up to nine hours. If you want a second machine for the house, something to leave set up on a desk without spending much, or a full-size keyboard with a number pad attached to a screen, this does the job.
