There has been plenty of interest in flat panel TVs with built-in DVRs, but nothing much to show for it—until now. Get ready for 26″, 32″ and 40″ LCD TVs from Humax, all with non-TiVo DVR software (unlike the model they showed us at last year’s CES). The company will be using Seagate’s LD25 Series consumer electronics hard drive for the new sets, designed specifically for non-mobile applications. Not sure when we’ll see them, but sounds good to me. Success will, of course, depend on pricing.
