How great is this? 55 inches of touchscreen magic for a classroom or a Wolf Blitzer or a droll, droll conference room. Sure, it's $5,000, and sure, it's "only" 1080p, but WHATEVER. This is great.

Other than being gigantic, the InFocus BigTouch is basically a regular computer. It's got a Core i5, a 120GB SSD, and its only other distinguishing characteristic is not having an actual release date, meaning there's a chance it won't be a real thing. We can hope, though! [InFocus]

Something based on ARM and Windows RT should be just a few hundred more than most HDTVs, an ARM board costs less than 100 dollars, and that could interface through HDMI internally so no special board would have to be made for it. The touchscreen (or optical gesture recognition) would add some to the cost, but I would guess that would still come out well under 5000. Does such a thing exist yet? For a TV computer I wouldn't need an i5 and 120GB SSD.
