Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events has a number of visual effects in it, since it’s a show with a number of strange and unreal settings, action, and fantastical creatures and devices. But the thing that will haunt you is the baby.
Oh, Sunny. This isn’t just a CGI baby for the sake of the safety of a real baby. This baby’s face is CGIed so she can talk. It’s got CGI arms and hands to deal poker. It’s got a CGIed relationship with a CGI snake. And the effect ranges from “oh, that’s not that badly done” to “AHHHHHHH!”
