In the 1970s, Morgan Freeman was the (hygienic) Lord of the Vampires

Today, the folks at Topless Robot count down 11 bad Draculas. There’s one inclusion I take umbrage with: Morgan Freeman’s depiction of Vlad on The Electric Company in the Seventies. C’mon! He took baths in his coffin!

You think True Blood is racy? On The Electric Company (Sesame Street’s sister show), Freeman would fill his coffin full of suds and sniff flowers. That’s bringing the sexy…on PBS!

Also, Freeman’s Dracula was apparently immune to sunlight. He was so tough he’d walk around in the sunshine, vamp menacingly about consonant combinations, offer to split milkshakes with strangers, and then vanish for no apparent reason when taken up on the offer. Truly this vampire’s ways are beyond our puny mortal kens.
