This trailer for the new Tamil time travel film Indru Netru Naalai has a few things going for it. First, the time machine looks hella cool. Second, they draw diagrams, which is an essential part of truly great time travel. And there’s a song about using a time machine to go back and take a selfie with Gandhi.

Indru Netru Naalai has been out for a while in India, and has been getting pretty positive reviews (see here and here). Basically, someone from the year 2064 decides to send a time machine back to 2015 as an experiment, and predictably it gets misused by everyone who comes into contact with it. One guy uses it to improve his fake-astrologer business, for example. Soon, the timelines are all messed up, and they’re having to figure out how to undo all the damage they’ve done. So, it’s not exactly reinventing the wheel, but it looks fun.
