If you’re going to see Chris Nolan’s Interstellar, you really should see it in IMAX just for the space porn. And now if you missed that chance, you’re about to get another because the space crying epic is returning to the big screen.
This weekend, AMC Theatres will bring Interstellar back to IMAX screens — but wait, they’re sweetening the deal. AMC is offering a two-for-the-price-of-one ticket deal, along with 12 minutes of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage. What’s the over/under on that footage being made up of people crying? Honestly, that part could be pretty great on an IMAX screen, especially because Nolan built the actual spaceships to scale and shot a lot of the footage in the wild or on bonkers water sets.
However, it needs to be said, the two-for-one deal does not exist online. That means you would have to go to the theater and talk to the box office person like a dinosaur. And if you’re like me and hate human interaction, that may not fly.
