In the UK, since they don’t really have trailers, the word “white trash” seems to have been substituted by “Chav.” Used in a sentence: Kevin Federline came out today looking more like a Chav than a D-list celebrity. Got it? Good. So it’s interesting to hear that in Britain, the iPod Shuffle, along with Burberry plaid and the Motorola RAZR, has been given honors as the top Chav gadget in the land. With a cool-brand name and a cheap price tag, the Shuffle seems to be perfect for our trailer-trash cousins across the pond. And the fact that it chooses your music for you and of course, can be worn around your neck, doesn’t seem to help its cause.
