For when a lasso won't do, may I recommend The Trap, an art installation by This Is Collective, a bunch of rather clever designers. The embroidered steaks on the bedspread, means it will only work on meat-eating sewing freaks, ladies. The Trap was on show at the Come Up To My Room installation in Toronto last week. DISCUSSION
@ANoel: @mtopper: OK since this thread is buried 4 or 5 pages down now, and anything I post will likely not be read by many, thus not starting a holy war, and you asked, here are my opinions on the very divisive topic of abortion.
I think life starts at conception. I have known several women who have had abortions, and in each case the women have suffered regret and guilt for years. Abortion is a horrid method of birth control. Actual birth control should be renamed conception control. Abortion is wrong on every level. A life ends and the woman is emotionally scarred for the balance of her life.
What would be even more wrong though, is to make abortion illegal and remove the choice. To force a woman to have a child she does not want and can not care for is wrong. I am old enough to recall the stories of women who had illegal abortions who where raped, blackmailed or even died. I would not want that fate for any woman. Keep is safe and legal. Make it a choice. Please choose life.
