Or at least as far as we can remember. Allergies suck all around, but due to the lack of rain to wash away those hateful spores known as pollen, NYC residents are having a worse time of it this year.
I wasn’t even aware physicians could specialize in allergy treatment, but apparently allergists are seeing patients in droves right now:
Allergists across the city reported a doubling and tripling of patients, exceeding previous records. Clifford Bassett, who practices in Brooklyn and Manhattan, said he’d hired two additional phone operators and another nurse to handle an influx of patients.
