Holy smokes. Netflix has announced that they’re making a scifi TV series titled Sense8. Now, seeing as Netflix’s original TV series have genuinely done all right for themselves — e.g., the critically acclaimed House of Cards and the rather anticipated Arrested Development continuation — that would be pretty great news by itself, but they have a few folks working on the show who know a little something about scifi: J. Michael Straczynski and the Wachowskis.
That’s one hell of a team-up right there. And with Netflix’s not inconsiderable budgets and HBO-esque lack of network restraints? We could be in for something pretty spectacular with Sense8. Right now, all we know is that it’s a 10-episode series due out in late 2014, but we’re already excited as hell.
