Sometimes a story is so powerful, it has the ability to cross cultures and even continents. If that story is truly remarkable, however, it can even become a movie starring the guy from The Big Bang Theory that no reasonable person would ever want to see.
In a series of blog posts last year, BuzzFeed editor Matt Stopera recounted the remarkable tale of “Brother Orange,” the stranger in China he befriended after pictures of the man began appearing on his photo stream via a stolen phone.
Maybe you read and enjoyed Stopera’s posts, maybe you do not. Either way, you will soon have the chance to experience the whole saga Bazinga-fied by 10 percent or so. From The Hollywood Reporter:

Stopera is executive producing Brother Orange alongside Broad City co-creator Ilana Glazer (up until recently, the two were roommates), Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman.
In 2015, the eponymous brother told Gawker that he believed the story resonated with readers in America and China because it was true, unlike so many others out there. Now, thanks to the magic of Hollywood, it can finally join all the rest.
