NovaLogic wants you PC gamers to get out of 1942 and Vietnam and plunk down $39.99 for their modern-themed multiplayer combat-fest, and is hoping mentioning typhoons in the title will… well, I don’t know. This “Typhoon Rising” thing is supposed to sound vaguely martial, I guess.
Things are not looking too good for NovaLogic, though, as last week’s release of a demo didn’t light a fire in the online community the way that Battlefield 1942’s demo did. I think gamers took one look at the game’s promise of 150 player battles with 35 weapons and 29 vehicles available and thought, “Yeah, right.”
