Lady Liberty Takes Center Stage on This Stunning Poster for Escape From New York

As the Fourth of July approaches, you’d be hard pressed to think of a more patriotic symbol than the Statue of Liberty. And that’s why this new poster for John Carpenter’s Escape from New York is so good. It takes everything we love about America and subverts it. Just like the movie itself.

We’re excited to exclusively reveal this officially licensed poster for the 1981 cult classic by artist Kilian Eng. It’s a twist on the original theatrical one sheet, showing not just the Statue of Liberty in all her alternative future disarray, but the Twin Towers, and lots of little Easter eggs peppered throughout.

The poster will be available on July 4 at DaVinci’s Dreams. There are two editions, the regular, which is an edition of 250:
