According to John Paczkowski from All Things D, we've got it all wrong—the iPhone 5 won't launch in September, fools! Even though Apple's supposedly banned employees from vacationing in the last fortnight of September.

Paczkowski's sources told him they "don't know why AT&T's calling for all hands on deck those weeks, but it's not for an iPhone launch," adding that October is the month we can expect the new generation of iPhones to drop (which may-or-may-not have been sighted in the picture, above), with the possibility of even late October being strong. As ever, if anyone knows anything, feel free to get in touch with us—otherwise, it looks like October will be a month of highs and lows. [All Things D via Techmeme]
